Gettin Back Into The Swing of Things
Author: StephenIts been a good while since my last post. It’s not so much that I’ve been too busy, I’ve just had a lot of stuff on my mind. So my plate was a little full. Today a couple things that I noticed I decided would be great to write on today, so I’ve got a little juicy material.
I was walking back in to the store today from helping a customer out in the parking lot, and on my way back in I see this woman drive up in this hummer. I’m beginning to notice a lot of people are starting to drive these things, but the wrong people are driving them. Now don’t get me wrong, I’m all for doing whatever you want as long as its legal, but sometimes I have to say something. Why does a woman need a hummer just to drive around town and do grocery shopping? Why does a college student need a hummer just to drive back and forth to school each day? Why does a 16 year old kid need a hummer period? Seriously, its a complete waste of gas and is making things harder on the environment for no particular reason at all. These sort of people should just be driving regular vehicles, there is absolutely no need to drive these monstrous things unless you drive off road regularly and you need power, and even then that’s what trucks are made for. Personally I think the hummer concept should have just stayed with the military.
Why do people want to buy the cheapest product you have, and then expect it to be the best in the world? In my opinion, you generally get what you pay for. Take tires for example, we have 2 different kinds of tires for a certain vehicle, the general price range for a decent tire in that size is anywhere from 100-120 dollars, what would possess you to inquire about how good the $70 tire is? It’s obvious that by paying so little for that particular tire, that you are in fact going to get an inferior tire. Then they buy the cheapest tire and come back to complain about it. You bought the worst product we had available, what did you expect? A vast amount of people lack common sense in this world.
One more thing that I found today is that hardly anyone is ever great full for the things you do for them. You go that extra mile to help someone, you put off your own agenda, you make a side trip, take time out of your busy day, several things just to be a genuinely nice person to help someone out that needs it, and most people have the gull to be unappreciative of it. I guess what I’m trying to say here is that people need to show some appreciation for the help that they receive.
