A married couple went to the hospital to have their baby delivered.
Upon their arrival, the doctor said that the hospital was testing an amazing new high-tech machine that would transfer a portion of the mother’s labor pain to the baby’s father. He asked if they were interested, Both said they were very much in favor of it.
The doctor set the pain transfer to 10 percent for starters, explaining that even 10 percent was probably more pain than the father had ever experienced before. But as the labor progressed, the husband felt fine and asked the doctor to go ahead and kick it up a notch.
The doctor then adjusted the machine to 20 percent pain transfer.
The husband was still feeling fine. The doctor then checked the husband’s blood pressure and was amazed at how well he was doing.
At this point they decided to try for 50 percent. The husband continued to feel quite well. Since the pain transfer was obviously helping the wife considerably, the husband encouraged the doctor to transfer ALL the pain to him. The wife delivered a healthy baby with virtually no pain, and the husband had experienced none. She and her husband were ecstatic.
When they got home they found the mail man dead on the porch.
Elle, a site that caters to women, recently published a great article that talks about anxiety disorders and the use of marijuana to combat them, including the ineffectiveness of other pharmaceutical drugs at combating the disorders.
A friend of mine recently wrote an article based on another blogger’s article that I had sent to him. The article claims that America has lost the culture war, and that the younger generation is more liberal than the older generations of our society. I wasn’t aware that we were at war with each other, as I have no quarrels with another person’s culture so long as it is non-violent. It just seems to me that conservatives are now just bitching and crying because they’re losing their fight to force their moral values on other people. I highly encourage giving his article a look, as he takes the claim apart piece by piece.
A woman came home early and found her husband in their bedroom making love to a very attractive young woman.
‘You are a disrespectful pig!’ she cried. ‘How dare you do this to me – a faithful wife, the mother of your children! I’m leaving you. I want a divorce right away!’
The husband replied, ‘Hang on just a minute love, so at least I can tell you what happened.’ ‘Fine, go ahead,’ she sobbed,’ but they’ll be the last words you’ll say to me!’
So the husband began – ‘Well, I was getting into the car to drive home, and this young lady here asked me for a lift. She looked so down and out and defenseless that I took pity on her and let her into the car.
I noticed that she was very thin, not well dressed and very dirty. She told me that she hadn’t eaten for three days.
So, in my compassion, I brought her home and warmed up the enchiladas I made for you last night, the ones you wouldn’t eat because you’re afraid you’ll put on weight. The poor thing devoured them in moments…
Since she needed a good clean-up, I suggested a shower, and while she was doing that, I noticed her clothes were dirty and full of holes, so I threw them away.
Then, as she needed clothes, I gave her the expensive designer jeans that you bought a couple years back, but don’t wear because you say they not the “in” name this year.
I also gave her the underwear that was your anniversary present, which you don’t wear because I don’t have good taste.
I found the sexy blouse my sister gave you for Christmas that you don’t wear just to annoy her, and I also donated those boots you bought at the expensive boutique and don’t wear because someone at work has the same pair.
The husband took a quick breath and continued – ‘She was so grateful for my understanding and help that as I walked her to the door, she turned to me with tears in her eyes and said, ‘Please … Do you have anything else that your wife doesn’t use?’
Me: “…Ma’am? Spartans?”
Customer: “Yes, I called my son at school and told him that screens keep popping up all the time, and he said that I have spartans.”
Me: “Oh! You mean trojans! That’s a possibility; let me run this analyzer on your laptop real quick and we’ll see what’s going on.”
Customer: “Young man, my son is in college and he says it has spartans. You just stand here in a little uniform and make minimum wage. I think my son knows what he is talking about.”
Me: “You’re right ma’am. I was hoping to run a diagnostic and find out that it wasn’t spartans, but just by looking at the login screen, I can tell that you probably have about 300 of the little guys running around.”
Customer: “300?! Is that bad?”
Me: “It’s horrible. They cram themselves into a bottleneck and kill wave after wave of data, until there is a wall of dead programs blocking any more traffic through your computer.”
Customer: “Oh, that just figures. I’m going to go buy a new computer.”
Me: “Ok, ma’am, I think that would be best.”
I have never been a fan of Ted Kennedy and I widely disagree with his views and policies. However, there are always some areas that people can agree on even if they are on the opposite ends of the political spectrum. A friend of mine made a blog post concerning Kennedy and his beliefs in the separation of church and state. I must say, he hit it on the head in this speech.

This was in a monthly email I receive from the Libertarian Party of Texas that, while I don’t completely agree with the hands off approach, does do a great job of illustrating the problem with most government intervention. (more…)

Could Washington be the next state moving towards a more sensible drug policy?
They can now draw and keep your blood without a warrant.
