Televised Forum for Texas Governor and Attorney General Candidates
On Monday, July 5th, the Kerrville Area League of Women Voters will feature candidates for Governor and Attorney General with questions from the audience at the Cailloux Theater, 910 Main St, in Kerrville. This event will be televised on KVHC-TV and statewide. The theater holds over 700 people, and Libertarians are encouraged to attend in support of our candidates. The forum will begin at exactly 7:00PM, but the live audience is encouraged to arrive from 6:00 – 6:30.
Donna Snow Robinson, the group’s spokeswoman, said appearance confirmations have been received from Bill White and Kathie Glass, the Democrat and Libertarian gubernatorial contenders, respectively.
In the race for attorney general, she said Democrat Barbara Ann Radnofsky and Libertarian Jon Roland are slated to appear.
Libertarian Scott Jameson was the only candidate for lieutenant governor to accept the group’s invitation, she said, but won’t take the stage since it wants at least two contenders from each race.
Brave New Books is hosting a Kathie Glass Watch Party in Austin for this first televised forum with Gubernatorial candidates Kathie Glass and Bill White.
Heather Fazio will lead a car pool from the Austin headquarters of the Libertarian Party of Texas at 3:00PM. Everyone who would like to attend the Kerrville event in person is welcome.
